The difference between good freelancers and bad freelancers

Recently I’ve had a ton too much work so I’ve been outsourcing where I can. From a buyers perspective, here’s what I think makes the difference between a good freelancer, and a freelancer who isn’t so good.

A good freelancer doesn’t ask needless questions. He knows when to involve you in a decision or not.

A good freelancer tells you when you’re wrong. I asked a freelancer to do something for me and instead of doing what I asked, he gave me a better solution to the problem.

A good freelancer doesn’t waste time. They take the job brief, they make sure there is an understanding, and they come back with a solution. No fuss.

A good freelancer is time sensitive. If they can’t do something by a certain time, they tell you. They keep deadlines.

What can you do to be a better freelancer?
